Home School Swansea

Home School Swansea. Today I found out that approximately 51 children are Home schooled in Swansea, Wales. It is so important to listen to children, my little girl suffered from bullying about her small height, asthma cough and was told she was too slow at answering questions (and many other incidents before that.) Say no to bullying! Such a shame as last term she had a lovely teacher that understood learning pressures put on children can cause anxiety and kept school fun for her! She sang for the first time ever and her Headmaster begged her to join the choir! Lovely school, and if my little girl was not copying and did not struggle at school I am sure things could have been different.

Today we celebrated because my daughter has been copying at school for a long, long time in the fear of being kept in through her break time. The opticians picked up on dyslexia, but there is no way I can afford a £300-500 test. It is so sad the way people judge others because of dyslexia and how they try to bully. I was told today "How can you teach your child if you have dyslexia?" I replied "I may have dyslexia but I am not thick! And did manage to work my way up from reception to Managing Directors secretary!" You would not believe some nasty mothers and how they go out of their way to make life difficult for Mothers that home school. They do not give a second thought to the pain your child has been through because of bullying! On the upside here is my little girls song about how she proved her old teacher wrong that told her she was too slow and could not read the book Divine Freaks because the words were too difficult! She can read this book now because she is Home Schooled and has made great progress in just a few months.

People that put Home Schooling down have to answer the question "Is it better that a child copies and suffers from anxiety in school bullied by children and teachers who are under pressure to pass the school checks" or is it better that children enjoy their childhood and learn at their own pace? No one should put up with bullying, something sadly that never seems to be tackled! I hope to get my daughters reading and writing skills up to scratch and get her back into a school in England. That is the goal, what we need is a little luck! No child should suffer from bullying! I would never blame the school for bullying as it happens everywhere, but I think it is time we taught all children just how important it is to treat others equally and force children to apologise in Assembly if they try to bully others so kids are taught that they cannot get away with it. Same with grown ups!
